Focus
This weeks positive thought has a lot behind it. FOCUS ON THE GOOD! This can be a difficult task some times. We feel like there is so much wrong going on in the world, but there is also always something good to see and be thankful for. Whether you believe in God or not, you should still be thankful. Life is an amazing journey. Not always peaches and wild flowers, but still amazing. If you align yourself right and have the right mindset, you can learn from everything that happens to you.
Trust me, I am not the most positive or thankful person. But I have tried to teach myself to be more of that. I have had my share (in my opinion, some times more) of hard times, hurt, trials and all that life can throw. But I always try to remind myself that it could be worse. No matter what is going on in my life, there is someone out there that has it worse than me. That makes me think about others, pray for them and stop focusing all of my energy on myself and my situation. I turn on music, an audio book, story or some kind of distraction so that I take my mind off of myself.
Did you wake up today? Did you eat? Have coffee, tea, water or a smoothie? Do you have clothes to wear? A roof over your head? Do you have a form of transportation? These are just a few things you could focus on and be thankful for. There are many more, but if you just started being thankful for one thing everyday, you would soon find it as a habit and you would be able to find many more things to be thankful for.
