Thunderstorms...

So, we are in South Dakota visiting my parents for summer vacation. Oh. My. Word. I've never experienced anything quite like this before. Being a Cali girl we don't get this. Here there have been thunderstorms like everyday. It's the middle of July and it's raining like crazy every night. Keeping me awake. The lightning is non-stop. There is literally no break in between the lightning it seems. And the rain is like a massive downpour, but when it's done, it's done. It seems to just all of the sudden stop. Isn't that kind of like life?

You're thinking what in the world is this girl talking about? But isn't it like life? Take a minute and think about it! We get stuck in life sometimes. We are in our own world so to speak. We have a thunderstorm going on in life sometimes. That rain cloud is over us and we feel stuck. We have sleepless nights over our problems. Life rumbles and rolls on. And the lightning seems to keep just throwing stuff on us. Like it won't stop to give us a breath. But, remember that through the tough times our lives our shaped. It helps us become the people we are supposed to be.

Think about who you are... Why are you that person today? Is it only because of the great easy times? Most likely no. It's all of your life experiences put together. The good, but mostly the bad that you choose to learn from. You have to learn to see the positive and see the good in every situation. Even the hard and sad times that you can't understand. It may make sense later. Even if it doesn't make sense for years, it will some day if you choose to learn. That is a very hard thing to learn and do. Trust me, I know. This lesson has taken me a long time to learn. And I am still not perfect at it, but it's something I remind myself of often!
