Pumpkin + Eggnog = Fall

For me, when fall stuff starts hitting the stores (And Starbucks brings out PSL) fall has truly begun. Then you know eggnog is coming soon. I love both of these things and am excited for them Every. Single. Year! I am the only one in a household of 6 that likes eggnog. I am pretty sure I am the only one who loves pumpkin too. My 3rd son loves pumpkin pie. But that's where his love for pumpkin ends. My older 2 sons like pumpkin pie, but really would rather have something else. My youngest varies, but this year definitely doesn't like it! My husband would rather have pumpkin cobbler, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread or anything else pumpkin. But if there is no other choice, he'll have pumpkin pie.

For the eggnog part, it's really crazy. I've made eggnog cookies and eggnog cupcakes. My husband and some times the kids will eat them. But one look at the actual eggnog and they all want to get sick. So, I buy eggnog, drink it and bake with it. The next thing I want to do (hopefully tomorrow) is make eggnog scones. I have been craving a scone and figured why not try my own instead of paying a bakery price. And especially because I have no idea, other than Starbucks, where they sell scones. So wish me luck and I'll post what happens with them, or if I even get to make them!

Sssooooo... I did make the scones. Was not near as great as I thought it would be. Now I;, disappointed and want to try something else!
