Happy Saturday

Saturday, weekend, day off, fun day... there are so many words for this day. Most people have big plans and do fun things with the family. That's not usually what happens here. I usually am cleaning all day. Catching up from the craziness of the week. Every once in awhile we will go out in the evening with friends or have someone over or go to our friends house.

My oldest son goes on outreach with our church. He goes to invite people to church. He usually doesn't get home until 1 or 2. I use that time with only one or two kids home to clean without distraction. To get caught up without kids messing up everything. I do lots of laundry, wash sheets and towels. I try to dust and vacuum the entire house.

I think this is the way I know I am getting old. Staying home Saturday to clean is great. I don't have to have tons of things to do. Having a clean house out weighs any mall or anything like that. Although my kids probably think differently. We try to do something fun in the evening for the kids. The park, board games, ice cream, a drive, a walk... something the kids will enjoy.
