Such Is Life...

So, for Thanksgiving week I decided to take a break from this blogging and such. I was only taking a break for Friday and Saturday. Then Sunday came and I got busy so I decided to just wait until Monday. Well Monday comes along and my computer is broken. It will not log onto the internet at all. I call my dad, who does not work on computers for a living, but is really good at trying to figure out their problems. He walks me through some steps, and it seems as though my wireless card has stopped working.

Having my computer less than a year, 9 months to be exact, I call HP. They tell me that you have to have a subscription to their phone support team, so they cannot talk to me or help me with my computer even though it is under warranty. This makes me so mad. I have to pay $50 to find out what is wrong with my computer that is under warranty? After being on the phone for over and hour, being hung up on, being transferred 7 times, I was even more angry and no closer to a solution.

A few years ago I bought a USB WiFi adapter thing at Wal-Mart for like $10. It plugs in the USB port of the computer and gets the WiFi signal that way if you don't have a wireless card. So I go to Wal-Mart, and of course they don't have any. I can run an Ethernet cable from the router to my computer, but really? A 50 foot cable. So I go online to look on Amazon and find what I am looking for. I order it. Then I decide to get on my computer. Guess what? Yes, It's working. I am so frustrated, but happy that my computer is working.

So, this is a long way of explaining and saying I'm sorry for being gone for so long. Hopefully this is not a sign of the card actually going out, and it was just some sort of weird thing that happened.
